We are on day 4 (Fathers June 4). Recognizing and understanding the value and role of “father” and “fathers” is one of many ways that we can begin to see not only Who God is, but how we are to look at Him and comprehend His love for us. He shows us what the role of a father looks like and when operating within this role; how a father is supposed to behave.
Value and Role
This can only be accomplished if first; the father/man has submitted his life to Jesus and then purposefully pursuing a relationship with his Heavenly Father; and submitting his will to Him.
His value and importance in the lives of those he comes in contact with and those to whom he is beholden to; has a direct and lasting effect on those around him and stems from how he operates within this role. The people whom he comes in contact with and those whom he interacts with will begin to recognize and pinpoint just how much he resembles and reflects the characteristics of God Himself. If he will listen and allow God to show him what to do and what to say he will be directly and indirectly playing out the role of father and expressing the true nature of his Heavenly Father; for all to see.
1Jn 2:13 (amp) I am writing to you, fathers, because you have come to know (recognize, be aware of, and understand) Him Who [has existed] from the beginning. I am writing to you, young men, because you have been victorious over the wicked [one]. I write to you, boys (lads), because you have come to know (recognize and be aware) of the Father.
1Jn 2:14 I write to you, fathers, because you have come to know (recognize, be conscious of, and understand) Him Who [has existed] from the beginning. I write to you, young men, because you are strong and vigorous, and the Word of God is [always] abiding in you (in your hearts), and you have been victorious over the wicked one.
