Received this one on October 4, 2012; as I was meditating and praying about the path we were on and the next steps as a family we were to take. The question was, how one person gets from one point in their lives to another?
Proverbs 4:26 (AMP) Consider well the path of your feet, and let all your ways be established and ordered aright.
There is a process which we all have to go through and it really does depend on what decisions we decide to make and the choices we take. We don’t just find ourselves on a certain path. The path that we are now walking on /in, was based on all the decisions that were made before and leading up to this very specific point in our life.
With every situation in life, choices are always presented. Sometimes it is only two to choose from and at other times there may be even more choices. All choices have a different outcome based on the options chosen.
This applies to every area of our lives.
Do we go left…right….stay…go…?
This is why it is so important to be Spirit led. Listening to The Holy Spirit, and checking in with Him about the choices and decisions that have presented themselves to us.
He knows what choices we need to make in order for us to get to the next step and phase in our lives. Not just as a family, but also as individuals.
In Ephesians 5:15 -17 (KJV) is says for us to: “See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, Redeeming the time, because the days are evil. Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is“.
When I’ve looked back at where we came from and how we got to where we are at now; it amazes me how our path looks. Hind sight is 20/20, and sometimes, when things weren’t clear and didn’t know the “whys and how did we end up here” questions; we had to ask ourselves why we did what we did. What was our motives for making these decisions?
I could see a huge difference; between the times that we prayed, diligently seeking His answers, listening to His instructions and paying attention to the choices and decisions that were presented. These were the ones that were more easier to choose from; and we ended up making the right one.
Psalms 119:105 Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.
Be blessed today as you choose to make the right choices.
