SEARCH THE SCRIPTURES

How many scripture verses do I need

There is at least one scripture verse that pertains to every situation that one could encounter, and there is power; in just that one. Instead of panicking, allowing feelings of confusion, anger or fear to set in; I challenge you today to take the time to sit down and search the scriptures. Take hold of that scripture verse, and of course, any others that you find, and apply it to your particular situation.

Why do we need to search the scriptures

The reason is, that if you don’t have the Word of God in front of you, and are not using the Word to be THE ANSWER to your situation or problem; then you are trying to overcome and obtain victory; without the POWER to overcome. That POWER is found only in HIS WORD.

Eph 3:20 KJV Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,

1Co 1:18 KJV For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.

You see, God’s Word holds life and brings life; into all situations. However one must put His Word to work. Without His Word on a matter, there will never be true victory. Every day people make decisions based on what they see in the natural and forget that there is an unseen realm that operates as well. When we make decisions with our five physical senses, we are not addressing the REAL problems; but just the symptoms of the real problem. You have to cut the situation/ problem/ scenario down at the roots. Putting a band-aid on it will only allow it to come back, continue to grow and reproduce.

Rom 15:4 KJV For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.

This is why we are to search the scriptures. There is power in The WORD. We are to hold fast to His Word, firmly standing in faith; allowing God’s Word to work for you and your situation.

Much Love and Prayers…Carol Helmick
