Prompting (s)

What do you do when you have prompting (s) to pray for a situation or person(s); but don’t know all the details, and /or who(m) is specifically involved?
EXAMPLE…

You get an unction / prompting (s) and a thought of someone in immediate danger or an emergency situation; and /or a persons name comes up to you, but you don’t know why?

Your first response is to try and figure out “who it might be, what’s going on, when it might happen (is it gonna happen soon or maybe later), where is it gonna take place and why their name came up; and so on and so forth”. These types of questions seem honorable and reasonable, because you want to “PRAY FOR THEM” properly. However, it’s at this point and important that you not waste TIME on trying to figure out the WHO…WHAT…WHEN…WHERE…WHYS and HOWS of it all, and it isn’t necessary. Many times we spend way too much time trying to figure these details out and miss the prompting (s) of the Holy Spirit’s desire to just use us to intervene in that situation and for those who are involved; IMMEDIATELY.

Recognizing The Holy Spirits promptings and His Timing.

Many times, when we get these “UNCTIONS”…it is a NOW unction and The Lord needs for us to PRAY NOW!  So, instead of trying to “figure it all out” in your heads; just start praying for the power of God to intervene and be displayed for that person (s) or for that situation. Begin by praying in The Spirit ABOUT WHAT YOU DO KNOW; and THE LORD will begin to work with your prayers and use your prayers as a covering, intervention and protection for, “WHOSOEVER and WHATEVER” IT MAY BE ABOUT”. This way He can begin to intervene IMMEDIATELY for that person (s) and in that particular situation.

(Eph 6:18)  Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;

The amazing thing is that when we begin to pray about what we do know and as we stay in prayer; not all the time, BUT many times He will reveal more of the details and guide us into praying out the specifics of that particular situation and peoples involved. These prompting(s) are His way of saying…“I need you to help Me take care of something…Will you work with Me to use you to do this?” And, when we push aside our desire to “KNOW IT ALL” and trust that He can use us “WHEN HE NEEDS US”; and by then responding by praying; you will find that He will use you more and more. How awesome is that!!!

So The next time you get an “unction”; Just begin to PRAY and allow God to use you!!!  Much love and prayers Carol Helmick
