Vicky Marinou Sent in this Testimony on 3/6/2019; @10:07 AM; about hearing the Holy Spirit. She said,…”Hello Mike and Carol, I enjoyed “Testimony Tuesday’s” teaching but I do miss the fellowship. Nevertheless, I wanted to share a couple of experiences I had in 2016 that had to do with hearing the Holy Spirit.
On October 31st, I was quite distraught with myself because I had, yet again, participated in office gossip. I prayed to God before I went to sleep saying how disappointed he must be with me for committing the same sin over and over and needing to repent once again for it. So, in the morning, as I was just waking up, a thought (in a male voice, not mine) said “Romans 5:20”. I was very surprised, and immediately looked it up: “The law was brought in so that the trespass might increase. But where sin increased, grace increased all the more,”. I realized that it was a direct answer to my prayer. He is so merciful!
Hearing The Holy Spirit
A short while after that, it was a Saturday and I was having a hard time getting up. As I was dozing in and out of sleep, I thought to myself “Should I get up now, or just laze in bed for a bit more?”. Again, I hear the voice in the same way, “1 Thessalonians 5:6” – I rushed to look it up “So then, let us not be like others, who are asleep, but let us be awake and sober.” I did not expect such an immediate answer to what I was thinking, and also, I couldn’t stop laughing. I felt like he was being humorous with me as well. Needless to say I got up immediately.
Those are two of the three times that I have heard him so clearly. All three times happened within the space of a couple of months. It’s been a long time since I have heard him like that. I miss it.
