FATHERS June 15

FATHERS

Honoring Our FATHER with our obedience pt 5

All this month we have been looking at and examining the value, honor and importance of our father’s role in our lives, this role includes and starts with Our Heavenly Father; but understanding how this revelation relates to and also pertains to our earthly fathers as well; will help us to better comprehend their importance and to hold them in high esteem and to also stir them up to be all that God needs and called for them to be. So, as we continue examining and studying these things out, keep this in mind.

The Fathers / Mans role is to pattern their way and thinking after their Heavenly FATHERS’ way of doing things and then teaching and training their children and those who are under their leadership and submitted to their Headship over them; to follow in these footsteps.

Therefore when our earthly Fathers / Men are correcting us, and instructing us; it is to our benefit and for righteousness sake. As he is learning how to walk and talk like Jesus; he is also teaching and training his children and/ or those who have been placed under his authority; to do the same. This is a huge responsibility and requires great respect for this position.

Heb 12:9 (amp) Moreover, we have had earthly fathers who disciplined us and we yielded [to them] and respected [them for training us]. Shall we not much more cheerfully submit to the Father of spirits and so [truly] live?
Heb 12:10 (amp) For [our earthly fathers] disciplined us for only a short period of time and chastised us as seemed proper and good to them; but He disciplines us for our certain good, that we may become sharers in His own holiness.

Every person needs guidance, direction, correction and discipline. We all have someone who is over us; we are always being told and shown how to behave and then expecting this behavior to manifest itself from us. This is how we learn and grow. If there is an unintentional change in course, or we decide to change, then correction is needed. Correction is just steering and pointing one in a certain direction; so that one may remain on course. If correction is not heeded; then, this is where discipline comes in. Discipline is just a part of life.

I am so grateful, humbled and amazed at how much Our Heavenly Father cares about and needs for His “children” (whether they be young or old, male or female) to recognize and submit, to the MEN in their lives. Whether it be a Father, Pastor, Husband, etc. Just as they have to submit to and obey God, we must submit to, honor and obey them.
