FATHERS
Honoring Our FATHER with our obedience pt 2
As a Father, He has the heart of a Father and it is in His heart to only want the best for His children. Being a Father, one of the greatest joys is to see His children succeed and be successful. He is the One responsible for creating us. Not only did our spirit come from Him, but He gave each of us our own personality, gifting s, talents, traits and abilities. He placed all these things within us and He is there ready to help us all along the way. He desires and craves a personal relationship with each of us.
Col 3:10 And have clothed yourselves with the new [spiritual self], which is [ever in the process of being] renewed and remolded into [fuller and more perfect knowledge upon] knowledge after the image (the likeness) of Him Who created it. [Gen. 1:26.]
He has personal investment in us and He is the Shepherd of our souls. However, He needs for us to recognize and allow all the amazing things that He knows that are in us and that we are capable of, but we have not produced yet; to manifest in our lives. So, when we begin to see Him for Who He really is, we can begin to comprehend the importance and value of showing honor, respect, obedience and faithfulness to Him; then and only then can we begin to appreciate His role in our lives and how valuable His Headship truly is. To give Him the freedom to be Our Father and allow Him to shape us and mold us into the sons and daughters that He needs for us to become. He is a God of faith. So, not only has He placed faith in us and faith for us to succeed; but He has made all of Heaven’s resources available to us and they are readily at our disposal.
Rom 8:19 For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God.
If we will allow ourselves to submit to His authority and leadership over us; He will keep us and protect us from harm.
