When the Lord gave me this Word, “Being Free”; our family was going through some really tough times. Bills were coming in and needed paying, and yes we had needs and yes we were in lack in areas, BUT...This Word was a reminder to quit looking at “those things”. I was being set free; even though, in the natural, it didn’t look like it.
The Bible is filled with scriptures about God; providing, sustaining, increasing us and and bringing us out. However, this was a Word…or what one would call a “RHEMA” Word from the Lord. When He spoke these Words to my spirit; it blessed me and encouraged me to stay in faith and to press in more. To not give up hope. He reminded me that I needed to be patient while He was working on things behind the scenes.
Mat 6:31-34 KJV Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? (32) (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. (33) But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. (34) Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.
Faith vs Senses
When we take our eyes off of His promises and place our eyes on our circumstances and things in the natural or what we call the physical realm… what we can see, hear, taste, touch and smell…our 5 physical senses; then it takes faith out of the equation. Because looking at the things / situations / circumstances in the natural removes, diminishes, waters down and OVERRIDES what GOD says about our situation. It takes faith to believe God and faith is not something that we can do or be in if we are basing our outcome by what is going on in the natural.
You see, In the natural it looked like it was taking a long time and at times it looked like it wasn’t going to happen at all. It looked like we were going to go under financially and be in lack FOREVER.
Seeking first the Kingdom
Repeatedly, the devil tried to bring thoughts of doubt, fears and unbelief to sway me from holding fast to God’s Word, but when I purposefully put His Word first. Mat 6:33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. That’s when things began to change.
As He walked us through this time, there were things in the natural we did. Besides listening to and obeying any instructions that He gave, every time a negative thought would come, recognizing it and then taking it captive; replacing those thoughts with scripture, then speaking His promises and what He wrote in His Word out loud and then; purposefully not allowing any worrying and fretting; about the: who’s, what’s, when’s, where’s why’s and how’s, it was going to get done.
It has been 3 years and I can truthfully say that He has and is still keeping His Word to us. I have seen Him do the miraculous; REPEATEDLY. Not just with our finances and household / family needs, but within our family and our relationships with each other; as well as, friends and those whom we are called to help. Money, resources, provision, food and other things needed has come in from unexpected sources to pay bills, and take care of all our needs even when we didn’t know where or how we were going to accomplish it. We have also been able to sow into and help others when their needs arose. As a family, we have become more of God minded instead of self minded!!!
EXPECT INCREASE AND OVERABUNDANCE IN ALL AREAS OF YOUR LIFE
There have been many prophets and ministers and Words from the Lord coming forth from all around the world; concerning this year 2017. Each Word spoken and released through these many men and women has had the same theme throughout…..EXPECT INCREASE AND OVERABUNDANCE IN ALL AREAS OF YOUR LIFE.
The Lord isn’t just talking about money, even though money is important…He wants to increase you in ALL areas.
The things that The Lord wants to do in you, for you and through you; is to increase you to a place where all your needs are met, and you have more than enough. Being a help, supply and encouragement to those around you and to those whom He draws near to you.
I challenge you to stop looking at your situations in the natural and override it with THE WORD…Be bold this year and purposefully choose to take Him at His Word!!! Go after HIS THINGS and WATCH HIM TAKE CARE OF YOUR THINGS. Much Love and Prayers Carol Helmick.
